Welcome to the homepage of the Network-Centric
Information Systems (NetCINS) Lab. at the University
of Patras, Rio, Greece.
The mission of
the NetCINS Lab. is to support education, research,
and development efforts in the field of software systems,
with emphasis on (in random order):
- large scale distributed information systems, such
as those build on top of peer-to-peer overlay network
infrastructures,
- social networking / web2.0 infrastructures and
applications
- event-based, publish-subscribe middleware,
- next-generation file systems inspired by IR techniques
- trustworthy (centralized and distributed) computing
- high performance systems for content delivery
over the internet (web proxies, content-delivery
networks),
- novel applications based on efficient Internet
content integration.
